Bullers Reginald Langdon Buller Sparkling Shiraz Cabernet

This wine is a rare treasure of Australian wine, having been made from a number of old reserve wines. 40% of the wine consists of 1968 Reserve, 15% is 1972 Reserve whilst 45% consists of 1996 Reserve. The wine was given a final dosage with 2002 Rutherglen Shiraz Durif Vintage Port.

The wine pours well with an exceptional creamy brownish tan mousse. Very fine persistent bead. The colour is rich sienna brown, showing its age (an average age of 21 years) with an onion brown hue. The nose is subtle, with restrained notes of leather and spice. The palate flavours offer layers of cedar, spice and white pepper followed by leather and dried prune. Dry finish, followed by a very long aftertaste of spice, prune and leather.
