Benriach Latada Madeira Cask Finish 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Joining the Albariza and Dunder on the shelves is Benriach's third offering in peated finishes, "Latada" - matured in American oak casks, the whisky is finished in Madeira casks especially selected by Master Distiller, Billy Walker. The unusual name comes from the traditional “Latada” or trellised vine system on the island of Madeira where the vines are laid out horizontally on low trellises.

In this case, the Madeira casks bring remarkable silky smoothness and balance to the whisky; it pairs the earthy, smoky notes with delicate hints of pear, honey and citrus, making for a luscious dram. Only 4,000 bottles released world wide. Bottled at 46% with natural colour and non chill filtered.
