Benriach Dunder Dark Rum Wood Finish Peated 22 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Peated Benriach, finished in Jamaican dark rum barrels after initial maturation in American oak casks. The subtitle 'Dunder' refers to the residue of cane juice left in the still after rum is distilled. Traditionally, Jamaican producers use this residue as a source of yeast in the fermentation process.

Non-chill filtered and natural colour. 46% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producer... NOSE: An intriguing, delicate floral peat smoke floods over cinnamon-spiced apple sponge. Crisp white pepper adds a gentle warmth to the nose. TASTE: Roasted apples and pears dusted with demerara sugar and lemon peel, all infused with a crisp barley sweetness and lingering wood smoke character.
