This is the 4th and final release of Provenance, bottled for USA and Japan. Note the wax seal on top has dried and split, and the wax stamp on the bottle is chipped, as pictured.

Provenance was created to commemorate the rebirth of Ardbeg when it was bought by Glenmorangie PLC in 1997. Made up of some of the finest casks that the distillery had to offer from 1974 and bottled at natural cask strength this is unquestionably a piece of liquid history and an icon for Ardbeg lovers everywhere. Very few of these historic bottles are left on the market making this undeniably rare and collectable.

Packaged in an attractive wooden box with a certificate of authenticity, (reportedly hand signed by Stuart Thomson, the Distillery Manager of the time - we haven't opened it!) Distilled in 1974. 55% Alc./Vol.
