2020 Shadowfax Minnow Rose

Produced from a blend of Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, Carignan, Mondeuse, Cinsault and Pinot Noir. The Pinot Noir and Cinsault providing superb aromatics, with the Mourvèdre and Syrah giving lovely texture and depth. The Grenache adding an extra spice element. Translucent salmon colour with a watery hue. Fragrant ripe peach, raspberry and strawberry aromas mix with some blood orange and spice notes. Silky and slippery in its textural feel the palate has a delightful flavour profile of peach, blood orange and raspberry fruits with a spicy undercard. Excellent intensity with a long delicious finish.

Squishy strawberry, nutty, toffee apple, a bit of spice. Slippery style, soft acidity, good amount of flavour, slight blood orange tang, almost a thick peel marmalade character, but not really sweet as such, though it is what you might call a comely rosé. A little pith and pepper on the finish, and plenty of interest throughout. Drink 2020-2022+
