This wine is now clearly positioned in the top echelon of Australian Rieslings.

Brilliant water like colour with greenish tinged edgings. Intense lime green apple and citrus aromas greet the nostrils trailed by wet steel, subtle orange notes and a chalky minerality. Supremely pure and possessing amazing intensity it shows more fruit weight than the single vineyard Riesling. Completely engulfing the palate is a powerhouse of lime and citrus flavours, the sheer weight of which are carried by crunchy, spine tingling acidity with aplomb. Elements of orange rind, talc and chalky mineral characters chime in on the back half. Finishes dry with great precision and an aftertaste that’s seemingly endless. Simply outstanding.
Drink over the next 10-12 years.
Alc. 13.2%

Other Reviews....
Its power, length and layer upon layer of kaffir lime is wrapped in a pure silver cloak of acidity running through - but never challenging - the fruit. Duke Ranson has every reason to suggest this is one of the best rieslings to come from this jewelled vineyard at the heart of the estate plantings.
