The Chateau Pegau releases come from an estate located just across the southern border of Chateauneuf du Pape, located along the eastern bank of the Rhone River. The wines are made by Laurence Feraud and they’ve recently completed work on a new cellar at the estate.
A blend of 40% Clairette, 30% Bourboulenc, 20% Grenache Blanc and 10% Ugni Blanc. Bright straw colour with a watery hue. The nose features ripe pear, baked apple and honeysuckle aromas followed by some spice. Rich and broad textured, the palate is filled with delicious ripe pear, apricot, honeysuckle and spicy baked apple flavours. Excellent concentration finishing dry with a lick of fresh acidity and a long nicely rounded aftertaste. Riper and fuller in style than the 2018.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews....
I loved the 2020 Côtes Du Rhône Lone Blanc. This medium-bodied, fresh, elegant beauty has lots of pear and citrus fruits as well as a subtle nuttiness that gives it solid complexity. It’s balanced, fresh, and already hard to resist.
