2019 Singlefile Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

A blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot matured in French oak (25% new) for 13 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Ripe red currant and mulberry aromas have a bay leaf overlay with subtle dusty vanillin cedar, tobacco and spicy black olive notes also present. Rich red to black currant and mulberry fruits flood the mid weight palate and provide it with plenty of flesh. Nuances of earthy tobacco, vanillin cedar, infusions of bay leaf and spice flow onto the back half. Finely grained tannins combine with a red fruited freshness on the long refined finish that has a juicy like quality to it.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
