Produced from 60 year old bush vine Grenache. Vibrant damask pink colour with a watery hue. Nosing reveals raspberry, cherry, pomegranate and musk aromas with a hint of spice also present. Filling the mouth are delicious juicy cherry and raspberry fruits over a back drop of subtle spicy musk and pomegranate. Finishes dry, savoury and supple with excellent intensity to the moreish aftertaste.

Other Reviews….
60-year-old Blewitt Springs grenache used to make $20 rose. Lucky country.
Bubbly gum aromatics and a raspberried palate but it’s a mouthwatering wine. Vigorous no less. Citrussy acidity and dried herb notes give it that extra something. It feels direct and assured, confident even, but at heart it’s more-ish. An extra few months in bottle won’t do it any harm either. Ultra dry/chalky finish is key. Drink 2019-2022.
