2019 Maude Pinot Noir

Twenty five percent whole clusters were included in the ferment with aging taking place in French oak barriques for 10 months. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright red hue. A perfumed bouquet of violets, red to dark cherries and strawberries blossom from the glass intermingling with anise, light forest floor and fresh herb notes along the way. Light in weight yet rich and supple, the palate has an expressive flavour profile of red to dark cherry and strawberry fruits which are intermeshed with anise, infusions of fresh herbs, subtle forest floor and delicate spicy cedar. Lively finish with bright acidity and polished tannins. Understated in its power it finishes with a long deliciously fruited aftertaste.
