$479.88 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 6 Years (2021-2027)
ABV: 13.5%
Closure: Stelvin

Dark red in colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Nosing offers up perfumed aromatics of violets, red to dark cherries and strawberries followed by hints of clove, forest floor, meaty notes and spicy cedar. Delicious dark cherry and strawberry fruits are delivered with a power wave of flavour that’s both supple and expansive. Lurking below are complexing elements of subtle clove, forest floor, traces of dried meats and light spicy cedar. Good freshness and silky smooth tannins, the long seductive finish making this dangerously drinkable.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
Ray Nadeson writes some of the most lyrical wine labels going. His hope with this wine is to reveal tannins that feel 'like you are melting into a soft cushion'. Well, they are certainly supple. A big proponent of whole-bunch fermentation, his '19 is striking in its structure and force of personality, with an imposing herbal imprint, chocolate cherry and red berries. Balance of oak/fruit/tannin is impressive, but the sustained length is that and more. Drink by 2028.
