2019 Giant Steps Applejack Vineyard Chardonnay

From an exceptional Chardonnay vintage for Giant Steps this wine was matured for 10 months in new (20%) and used French oak. Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Pronounced white peach and nectarine scents are subtlety married to dried honey notes with light nougat, cashew and spice ensuing. The vibrant mid weighted palate features intense fleshy white peach and nectarine fruits over elements of dried honey, citrusy nougat characters, faint roasted almond and spice. Fresh yet gently creamy mouthfeel with vivid acidity leading the way onto a long textured aftertaste.
