2019 Domaine Metrat et Fils Chiroubles Constance

From 60 year old vines. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Perfumed like scents of violets, strawberries and incense show wonderful elevation followed by clove, scorched earth and spice. Light in body the palate serves up a savoury flavour profile of cherries infused with clove and incense over some earthiness. Spicy, slightly dryish finish with good freshness, faintly chalky tannins and a medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
