Domaine Duroché is one of the brightest stars to appear in the Burgundy landscape over recent years, and with numerous comparisons to Domaine Rousseau the wines are now incredibly hard to come by. While the name is relatively new to the world, the family have been making wine in Gevrey Chambertin since 1953, and early on they aquired fantastic plots of Gevrey villages, premier cru and Grand Cru including Chambertin Clos de Beze. The wines are incredibly pure, have excellent concentration and depth, and show a fantastic translation of site.

While Pierre Duroché is known for his red wines, he's also rather adept at whites as evidenced with this Bourgogne Cote d'Or Chardonnay. Fruit for this wine comes from the lieu dit of Grands Champs in Gevrey-Chambertin that was planted between 2003-2005. This is an attractive and pure Chardonnay that will drink well early in its life.
