It’s a Shiraz/Pinot Noir blend made with all-Beechworth fruit, upper and lower. All old oak.
It’s a juicy-but-polished red with enough fruit to keep everyone happy and a good deal of complexity around the edges. It nails the brief, you’d have to say. A trace of coffee, a suggestion of herbs, a bit of meat and then all those supple berries. Oh sweet spearmint too. An exercise in balance and therefore pleasure. Drastically drinkable.
