$1560.00 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 8 Years (2021-2029)
ABV: 15%

Predominately sourced from the Gomersal and Marananga sub regions of the Barossa with contributions from Krondorf and Ebenezer as well, 2018 was a memorable vintage producing wines of both impressive power and structure. Maturation took place in a combination of new (40%), second fill and seasoned French oak barriques for a period of 24 months.
Super saturated, inky black in colour, with an equally deep dark red black hue. Wafting out of the glass with an intoxicating like intensity are aromatics of black plum, liquorice, ripe blackberry and black cherry which meld into toasty vanillin oak, subtle earthy fennel like notes and pepper. Lush, thick and deeply concentrated the palate is hit with cascading waves of rich black plum, blackberry, liquorice and black cherry fruits. Flowing onto the long epic finish are complexing elements of smoky vanillin cedar, scorched earth, fennel and pepper. A robust tannin structure is for the most part concealed by the sheer volume of fruit. Magnificent power with a very long, decadently rich aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 15%

Other Reviews....
A pristine nose of ripe and intense blackberries, blueberries and redcurrants, as well as some sanguine, rust-like notes. This is an excellent edition of The Factor. I like the power and focus this wine delivers and, in 2018, it is a wine of great length and presence. Abundant ripe blackberries bathe the palate. Try from 2025.
