Aged for 11 months in a mixture of new and old French oak barriques. Dark red core with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Fragrant violet scents are followed by dark cherry and anise which have a meaty overlay. Forest floor and spicy cedar notes also chime in. Light in body ripe cherry and strawberry fruits intermix with meaty game like characters, forest floor, subtle dried herbs and spicy cedar. Finishes with good freshness, sturdy yet refined tannins and a medium length aftertaste.
