Matured in French oak barriques. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Ripe powerful scents of black cherries, black raspberries and anise are trailed by subtle toasty cedar and spice notes. Possessing a Grenache like juiciness the palate is filled with rich black fruits, anise, subtle toasty oak, some forest floor and spice. Supple tannins with some brightness to the finish and a medium length aftertaste. A big, ripe Pinot.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
