2018 Sailor Seeks Horse Chardonnay

Wild yeast fermented with 15% undergoing malolactic fermentation and maturation taking place in French oak, 20% new. Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinct tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Nosing offers up white peach, nectarine and subtle dried honey scents which meld into subtle lemon butter, bees wax and spice notes. Rich fleshy white peach and nectarine fruits show great intensity across the creamy textured palate. Dried honey, nougat, biscuity oak and spicy cashew nuances ensue. Amply weighted it has good freshness, finishing long and generous.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Wild yeast fermented with 15% of the wine undergoing malolactic fermentation in 20% new oak. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Fleshy peach and nectarine scents sail out of the glass followed by light honeycomb, bees wax, citrus, spicy nougat and cashew notes. Rich nectarine and white peach fruits are married to dried honey, bees wax and light citrusy nougat elements to form a creamy textural core. Some cashew and flinty mineral characters make an appearance on the back palate. Finishes dry with plenty of freshness and a long aftertaste.
