A 57% Tempranillo and 43% Touriga Nacional blend sourced from McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Greeting the nose is a combination of black and dried cherry aromas which are followed by some liquorice, dried meats, earth and spicy leather. Rich ripe black cherry and liquorice fruits drive the medium to full bodied palate. Firm, chewy tannins lend structure to the blend with dried herb, earthy leather and spicy dried meat characters on the back half. Dry, slightly grippy finish with energetic acidity pulsating through the long, lush yet robust aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
Sometimes, partnerships just work and sync immediately. Like these two Iberian varieties. Comfortable together, complementing the qualities of each to make an harmonious drink. Dark fruits, red and black licorice, roasted coffee beans, wood char and charcuterie, sarsaparilla and nutmeg. Medium-bodied, energetic and damn delicious. Drink by 2028.
