2018 Pietradolce Etna Rosato

Produced from Nerello Mascalese grapes. Very pale salmon pink colour with a watery hue. Fragrant red fruit scents are complimented by citrusy orange, volcanic stone and spice notes. Vibrant flavours of tangy blood orange and citrus fruits have a rounded mid palate feel backed by stony mineral elements. Finishes dry with a dash of spice. Crunchy acidity leading into a citrus and mineral aftertaste.

The 2018 Etna Rosato shows a delicate pale color and a gorgeous bouquet that is poised and graceful yet fully intense and perfumed at the same time. It's the quality of those perfumes that counts. Rather that delivering mono-thematic aromas, the wine presents a whole flutter of pretty little nuances. Together, they portray wild fruit, blue flower, volcanic ash and mineral. I could drink this informal and easy rosato for a good part of the day. Drink 2019-2023.
