2018 Penley Estate Hyland Coonawarra Shiraz

Matured for 12 months in French oak of which 50% was new. Pitch black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of liquorice and choc mint mesh with ripe blueberry, vanillin cedar and spice. Medium bodied the palate has a bright youthful feel with liquorice, blueberry and mint flavours overlaying traces of earth and spicy vanillin cedar. Vibrant acidity, slightly chalky tannins and a restrained medium length aftertaste.
