2018 Mader Pinot Gris

The Mader domaine is a small volume, high quality wine producer based in the picture postcard village of Hunawihr. Brilliant pale straw colour with a slight tinge of green to the outskirts and a watery hue. Lifted ripe pear and apple aromas have a honeycomb overlay with hints of musk and spice also evident. Rich and round in the mouth, pear, apple and honeycomb flavours have plenty of luscious textural appeal over a backdrop of light musk and spice. Off dry finish with balanced acidity lending some freshness. Long rich, creamed tinged aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
