2018 Kaesler The Bogan Shiraz

Matured in 30% new French oak with the balance in 2 and 3 year old French oak for 18 months. Totally impenetrable inky black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Potent dark plum, liquorice and freshly crushed blackberry aromas mix with hints of blueberry, vanillin cedar, subtle mocha, fennel and light pepper. Decadently rich and dense yet bursting with a youthful freshness are opulent flavours of dark plum, liquorice, crushed blackberry and blueberry which stand over a vanillin oak, subtle mocha, fennel and spicy pepper back drop. Vibrant finish with sturdy yet very well integrated tannins. Long powerful robust aftertaste.
