2018 JJ Hahn Hermann's Vineyard Shiraz

Sourced from Estate vineyards with an average vine age of 30 years, this wine is aged in a mix of older French (50%) and American (50%) oak barrels for 18 months. Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Nosing offers up pronounced liquorice, dark plum and black cherry aromatics which meld into smoky vanillin cedar, light black olive and blackpepper notes. Fleshy in their feel are rich liquorice, dark plum and black cherry fruits which are underscored by vanillin cedar, scorched earth and blackpepper. Velvet smooth tannins with a long peppery yet polished conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
