2018 Gapsted Ballerina Canopy Chardonnay

Fermented in French oak barriques with partial malo-latic ferment and lees stirring. Bright pale straw colour with straw tinged edges and a watery hue. Fresh nectarine and peach aromas mingle with a faint whiff of grapefruit, light toasty oak, citrusy nougat and flinty notes. Medium bodied with a faint sense of creaminess to the mid palate, fleshy nectarine and peach flavours sit over some toasty oak, citrus and gun flint. Finishes with fresh acidity and medium length.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
