2018 G.D. Vajra Langhe Rosso

A blend of predominately Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto with smaller quantities of Freisa, Albarossa and Pinot Noir added in. Aged for 18-24 months partially in steel and then in first, second and third use barrels. Dark red colour with black tinged edges and a medium red hue. The nose evokes scents of rose petals, ripe cherries and raspberries with notions of dried herbs, light tobacco and spice also evident. Bright red and morello cherry flavours meld into dried herb, light earth and spice characters. There’s a youthful freshness to the acidity, finely polished tannins and a savoury aftertaste of medium length.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
