2018 Errazuriz Max Carmenere

Aged for 12 months in French oak. Outstanding depth of colour featuring an inky black heart and a deep dark red black hue. Refined aromatics of red to black currants infused with cedary tobacco characters are followed by black olive, dried herbs and a whiff of spicy capsicum. The elegant medium bodied palate has an appealing smooth textural quality to it with spicy red to black currant fruits flowing over a cedary tobacco, faint black olive and dried herb back drop. Very finely grained tannins are well integrated finishing with a medium to long aftertaste that shows finesse.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
