2018 Domaine Oudin Vaugiraut Chablis Premier Cru

Bright pale straw colour with a watery hue. Aromas of pear and lime have a distinct stony overlay with some citrus, fresh herb and chalky mineral notes following on. Beautifully rounded pebble stone like mouthfeel with expressive pear and citrus fruits melding into traces of dried honey, wet stones, oyster shell and flinty mineral elements. Finishes dry with fresh acidity and a lengthy conclusion that has a supple stony feel to it.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Nathalie Oudin is one of an exciting crop of young growers in Chablis, whose small, well-priced range is improving with every vintage. This delicious premier cru comes from two parcels totalling 0.75ha on white, limestone-rich soils and is intense, leesy and salty with undertones of fennel and lemon peel and a rich, textured mid palate.
