One of Tassie’s most loved and best value Pinot Noirs continues to excel with this superb 2018 release. Fruit was sourced from Dalrymple’s own vineyard at Pipers River and growers at Swansea and Ouse. Each of these sites making its own unique contribution to the final blend with maturation taking place in French oak barriques.
Moreish, expansive and supple, Dalrymple have yet again nailed it with a Pinot Noir that shows enormous appeal.
Semi translucent bright dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. A perfumed bouquet of violets, dark cherries and ripe strawberries show excellent intensity out of the glass with trailing notes of subtle anise, forest floor, dried meats and spicy cedar. Moreish with an expansive power wave of ripe red to dark cherry and strawberry fruits flooding the mouth, complexing elements of forest floor, a subtle meatiness, spicy cedar and traces of fresh herb infusions flow on. A supple feel is counterpointed by an uplift of freshness on the finish. Velvety tannins with a long, delicious aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
