Renown as one of Geelong’s top producers, Clyde Park was first established in 1979. The fruit for superb this mid tier Pinot is sourced from five different blocks planted between 1988 and 2000 which contain seven different clones. Picked in early March, different parcels of fruit undergo ferments with different percentages of whole bunch. The final blend is inclusive of 25% whole bunch and is matured in French oak, 25% of which is new.

Expansive, supple and intensely flavoured this a terrific Burgundy inspired example of Geelong Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Streaming out of the glass are perfumed like aromatics of violets, dark cherries and strawberries subtlety tied to notes of clove. Gamey forest floor and spicy cedar elements then move in. Charged with a magnificent power wave of rich fruit, the palate is flooded with spicy dark cherry and strawberry flavours which are delicately infused with clove characters. Terrific intensity and balance with nuances of forest floor, game and spicy cedar also chiming in for added complexity. Expansive and supple in its feel, velvet smooth tannins and well judged fresh acidity are perfectly integrated. Finishes with an exceptionally long Burgundy inspired aftertaste.
