2018 Aphelion The Affinity Grenache Mataro Shiraz

A blend of 40% Grenache, 35% Mataro and 25% Shiraz. Opaque dark red black colour with a bright red purple hue. Lifted dark raspberry and dark cherry aromas combine followed by liquorice, vanillin confectionary and a hint of spicy fennel. Juicy dark raspberry, dark plum and ripe cherry flavours caress the fleshy palate with underlying elements of liquorice, earth, vanillin confectionary and spice. Supple in its feel with silky tannins, a lick of bright acidity freshens up the finish. Long succulent dark berry aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
