2018 Ad Hoc Avant Gardening Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec

Aged for 10 months in a combination of new and 1-2 year old French oak barrels. Magnificent colour featuring an impenetrable inky black core and a near equally deep bright dark red black hue. Pronounced cassis like blackcurrant and liquorice aromatics jump out of the glass mixing with vanillin cedar, tobacco, light earth and bay leaf along the way. Medium to full bodied, the palate is awash with rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruits. Subtle vanillin cedar, earth and mint like characters sit in the background. Sturdy yet finely integrated tannins provide structure and have a graphite like feel. Excellent concentration with the long aftertaste taking on a refined feel.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
