Bright pale straw to straw colour with a slight glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine, light pear and citrus are trailed by subtle gun flint and mineral notes. Light and vibrant the palate has flavours of nectarines, grapefruit and citrus which are underscored by a delicate minerality. Finishes dry and fresh with punchy acidity and a medium length aftertaste.

Wild-fermented in French oak, matured for 10 months. Heretic or hero: no mlf. For my money, and for those who enjoy fresh, crisp chardonnays, hero. Drink by 2027.
