A blend of Nebbiolo, Barbera and Cabernet. Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. The nose exhibits morello cherry, dark plum and ripe red currant aromas over liquorice, earth and subtle spicy leather notes. Medium weight with a generous, supple mouthfeel the palate dishes up a savoury flavour profile of dark and morello cherries as well as ripe red currant which intermix with traces of liquorice, earth and spicy dried herbs. Nicely balanced acidity, polished tannins and a medium length conclusion.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc. 13.8%

Other Reviews….
Beechworth blend of Nebbiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Barbera. Roughly a third, a third, a third. Cabernet is deliberately picked to “not seem too much cabernet”. That is, it’s picked specifically to work at its best in this blend. Everything about Traviarti is smart.
Talk about getting the flavour profile right. Go out and find yourself some of this, it’s fabulous drinking. Berries, choc, graphite, roses and savoury spice. Bay leaves too. Really it just feels seamless and one. The spread of tannin here is superfine. I could hardly have been more impressed. Drink 2018-2024+
