Dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Aromas of dark cherries, violets and subtle anise have a perfumed like intensity with toasty cedar, forest floor and spicy dried herb notes following on. Light to medium bodied the palate is well endowed with rich dark to black cherry fruits and anise which shows great drive. Elements of toasty cedar, earth, dried herbs and spice ensue. Fleshy mouthfeel, sturdy tannins providing the framework. Long conclusion.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.9%

Other Reviews….
Everything to be admired about Tassie pinot. Depth of flavour and aroma - black cherry, redcurrants, whole bunch fragrance, brown spices form maturation in French oak. All that coupled with a firm but fine tannin structure and just-so acidity. Drink by 2027.
