Semi translucent bright red colour with a light brick red hue. Nosing offers up a mixture of red and dried cherries infused with herbs followed by a light smoked meat overlay, forest floor, some stalky notes and spice. Light in body with a supple feel the palate has an elegant savouriness to it with dried cherry and winter strawberry flavours melding into dried herbs, a subtle meatiness and spicy forest floor characters. Velvety tannins and nicely balanced acidity with moderate power on the finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc. 12.5%

Other Reviews….
Lighter colour than most of its siblings. The converse of the Down the Hill Pinot, not necessarily what I expected. Very pretty strawberry red fruits, the fragrance of the bouquet and mouthfeel and length impeccable. Drink by 2027.
