Gamay is the grape variety of France’s famous Beaujolais wines. Sourced from a single vineyard the unique ‘maceration carbonique’ fermentation, which enhances the fruit and floral aromas of the wine, was used for 53% of the grapes. The other 47% received a traditional, warm, red wine fermentation. The resulting wines completed their malolactic fermentation and were matured for nine weeks in seasoned French oak barrels, before blending and bottling.

Translucent vibrant cherry crimson red colour with a light bright crimson hue. Fragrant aromatics of juicy red cherries and raspberries infused with violets and hints of clove are followed by spicy earth end notes. Light, fresh and supple the palate has flavours of freshly crushed ripe red cherries and raspberries over some earth and spicy dried herbs. Soft fine tannins. Finishes dry with vivid acidity and a savoury aftertaste of freshly crushed berries, light earth and spicy dried herbs.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
