Freya was the foremost goddess of ancient Germanic lands where the Riesling grape originated. This wine honours early German settlers who cultivated the first Riesling vine in the Eden Valley.

Brilliant water like colour with a distinctive greenish tinge around the outskirts. Intense lemon and lime aromas married to green apple scents blossom from the glass underscored by subtle talc, hints of mandarin and steely mineral end notes. Concentrated lemon and lime flavours fill the mouth over green apple characters with a precise line of racy mineral infused acidity driving its way through the core. There’s also some elements of wet steel on the dry snappy acid finish. Terrific power and length with a long conclusion of lemon, lime, green apple, subtle infusions of orange rind and steely mineral.
Drink now or cellar 6-8 years.
Alc. 12.5%

Other Reviews…
They know how to turn out fine Eden Riesling at SOE.
Jasmine and vanilla perfume, lemon and lime, but delivered sotto voce, a certain mineral oil thing. It’s light, but full of flavour, with a juiciness and mouth-perfume, crunch of acidity and dusting of chalky texture, and a lovely grip and lime rind thing on the long, and very convincing finish.
