2017 Porcupine Ridge Syrah

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Nosing reveals liquorice, dark plum and smoky oak aromas followed by some fennel and spice notes. Medium to full bodied, rich and succulent anise, ripe black cherry and dark plum flavours flood the palate supported by toasty vanillin oak, earthy fennel and pepper. Ripe, slightly chewy tannins finishing with a long spicy anise, toasty oak, earthy fennel and pepper aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
