2017 Poggerino Chianti Classico

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright dark red hue. Emanating from the glass are red currant and red cherry aromas with subtle notions of earthy tobacco, dried herbs and spicy cedar also evident. Medium bodied generous spicy red currant and red cherry fruits are littered across the palate with underpinnings of earthy cedar, dried herbs and tobacco adding complexity. Slightly dryish tannins and bright acidity provide rustic appeal with a savoury mid length aftertaste.
