2017 Pierro L.T.C. Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Produced from 62% Sauvignon Blanc and 31% Semillon with a splash of Chardonnay blended in. 20% of the wine is fermented and matured in new and one & two year-old French oak. 80% is fermented and matured in stainless steel. Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge around the outskirts. Lifted ripe gooseberry and passionfruit aromas combine with a hint of fresh pear and lime over some grassy characters and fresh herb infusions. Richly flavoured with a nicely textured mouthfeel and zesty finish the palate is filled with ripe gooseberry, passionfruit and lime flavours which sit over subtle grassy elements and infusions of flinty mineral. Concludes dry with crunchy acidity and a long gooseberry, lime, subtle passionfruit, herbaceous grassy character and flinty mineral aftertaste.
