‘A large scaled, decadently rich old school styled McLaren Vale Shiraz.’

Impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. Intense liquorice, dark plum and dark chocolate aromas fill the nostrils followed by vanillin oak, mocha and spice. Rich, dense and voluptuously textured the palate is engulfed with decadent liquorice, dark plum and dark chocolate flavours which are backed by toasty vanillin oak, earthy mocha and spice characters. Velvet smooth tannins showing great power and concentration with a long lavish conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

From the estate vineyard at Blewitt Springs, hand-picked, crushed and destemmed, 8 days on skins, 16 months in large format oak (80% new). A very distinguished wine in every way: varietal expression of sombre black fruits, texture and structure ex ripe tannins, dark chocolate ex the region, harmony and balance ex the winemaking. Will the new oak retreat over the next 3-5 years? Drink by 2037.
