2017 Joel Gott Zinfandel

Opaque dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Smoky nose with dark cherry, blackpepper, clove and spicy dried meat notes also present. Rich fruity dark raspberry, ripe dark plum and liquorice flavours are prevalent over some toasty vanillin oak characters which become more prominent on the finish. Also present are elements of clove and spice. Good concentration with velvet like yet sturdily built tannins and a lengthy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
