2017 Greenock Creek Apricot Block Shiraz

Magnificent inky black core showing great colour saturation with a very deep dark red black hue. Heady aromas of liquorice, black plum and ripe black cherries are overlaid with vanillin oak, mocha and spice. Dense and voluptuous with off the charts richness and size the palate is engulfed with liquorice, black plum, morello cherry and blackberry fruit that’s slathered with a fair dose of vanillin oak. Some dark chocolate, subtle earth and spicy fennel characters also make an appearance. Bright underlying acidity with robust but velvety tannins lead into a long lavish, black fruited aftertaste that has some heat to it.
