Brilliant pale straw colour with tints of green around the edges and a watery hue. The nose emits ripe lime and fresh red apple scents over traces of honeysuckle, ripe citrus and faint quince. The palate is filled with rich red apple and honeysuckle flavours which intermix with some pear, traces of quince and spice. Quite full and round in the mouth with an off dry finish and balanced acidity it concludes with an aftertaste of red apples, honeysuckle, ripe pears and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Other Reviews….
Winemaker Nick Glaetzer says “Another great year for Riesling. Single vineyard Tamar Valley. 2-3% botrytis that dried out before harvest. Meant less time sur lie to develop mid-palate (2-months v 6-month usual). Long slow ferment over 60-days. Full MLF during primary ferment also.”
Juicy and perfumed. It’s lavender and candied cumquats, lime and a dusting of white pepper, with a whiff of just baked bread. Good burst of flavour – stonefruits and sweet lime – slight chalkiness, fine acidity and a long savoury finish. Fascinating wine. Drink 2016-2026.
