2017 Gapsted Ballerina Canopy Shiraz

Aged for 12 months in American oak barrels. Very deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Elevated liquorice and choc mint aromas are overlaid by vanillin oak with some plum and spice notes ensuing. Medium to full bodied with a fair dose of toasty vanillin oak running through the rich red liquorice, plum and choc mint flavours. Finishes spicy with a plush mouthfeel and velvety tannins. Spicy aftertaste of liquorice, sweet vanillin oak, subtle choc mint and ripe plum.
Cellar 3-4 years.
