A terrific Cotes du Rhone that delivers knock out value.

This rich, seductive Cotes du Rhone is made from a blend of Grenache, Syrah and old vine Carignan. Displaying a midnight black heart and a deep dark red black tinged hue, the depth of colour here is impressive for an entry level Cotes du Rhone. On the nose aromas of black cherries, black raspberries and liquorice intermingle with herbs du Provence, light scorched earth and pepper. Succulent black cherry and black raspberry fruits dominate the richly textured palate providing it with terrific weight and density. Elements of scorched earth, provincial herbs and pepper then chime in. Ripe, slightly chewy tannins with a long opulent finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
The 2017 Côtes du Rhône checks in as a blend of 50% Grenache and 25% each of Syrah and Carignan that was destemmed and brought up in tank. This deeply colored wine has impressive notes of blackberries, black cherries, violets, and spring flowers. It's full-bodied, silky and polished, with tons of fruit and just about everything you could want from a Côtes du Rhône.
