Other Reviews....
Notes of matchstick and reduction push the underlying fruit to the background though I suspect that the nose will clean up with a few years of aging. Otherwise there is very good volume to the surprisingly lush, even opulent, middle weight flavors though there is plenty of the hallmark minerality suffusing the well-balanced bitter lemon-inflected finish. This could also be approached young. Drink 2025+.

Aromas of ripe lemons, praline, crushed chalk and white flowers introduce the 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières, a medium to full-bodied, pure and chiseled wine with lovely mid-palate amplitude, a bright line of acidity and a chalky, tight-knit core. Like the Genevrières, this is one of the highlights from chez Bouchard this year.

Sexy aromas of peach, pineapple and crushed stone. A step up from the Genevrières in suavity and mineral definition, displaying captivating inner-mouth lift and perfume. Large-scaled, tactile yet precise, this beauty finishes with terrific palate-saturating length and verve. Boasts the classic wet-stone minerality of this great premier cru--and it tastes more concentrated than its yield of 45 hectoliters per hectare would suggest.

Three plots. Maintains the palish colour. Then significantly heady. Perrières often is on the edge of falling over. Very much a mineral style on the palate through with the ripe bacon fat notes behind. Good acidity with just enough reductive character.
