Light cherry red colour with a crimson red hue. Fragrant red cherry and winter strawberry scents intermingle with a hint of sour cherry and violet followed by forest floor and spicy dried herb notes. Light with a very elegant and fresh feel, the palate is delicately flavoured with red and sour cherries over some cranberry, faint earthy clove and spicy herbs. Finishes dry with spritely acid and finely grained tannins. Moderate power with an aftertaste of red and sour cherries, fresh herb infusions and spice. Cellar 3-4 years.
Alc. 12%

Other Reviews….
Savoury edged pinot noir shows dark and sour cherry scents, pepper, brambles, dusty earthy notes. Really like this start. Lean and light in flavour but has a lithe appeal, mouthwatering amaro-like acidity, succulent and fine tannins. Very fine boned wine with distinction and finesse. You’ll have to like them fine!

Other Reviews….

Dilworth and Allain sounds a bit like a folk music duo from the ’70s to my ears. Debut album here being ‘Doug’s Vineyard’. Winemakers are now caretakers of said vineyard, and have worked at storied producers such as Castello dei Rampolla, Lafon, and Paul Pillot. Oh, and Eastern Peake. Here we go then.

Sour cherry, raspberry, spice and fresh mint, slight dusty earthiness. It’s very fine and light, feathery almost, with a spicy and sappy and bitter orange cast to the acidity, gentle dusty tannin, nice energy, and a sour cherry finish of good length offering perfume and spice. In some respects much like a light Nebbiolo, which I like, though comes with the caveat that it’s delicate and perhaps what you might call a wine with ‘good bone structure’. I think it will age very well.
